Fox 4 Life Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 "Howard led the line with his usual aplomb but, in the absence of the injured Matty Fryatt and DJ Campbell, who was omitted from the squad, there was very little movement around him and City looked a blunt attacking force." Any ideas?! Apparently Holloway still sniffing around....

Callabinho Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Stringer said something regarding D.J on the phone in? almost stating that he might still go! I cannot remember exactly what he said, but he definitely implied he may still be going. I think we will go, at times his body Language is poor, I'm not 100% convinced he is happy here.
JimmyJam Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I think Sousa is still experimenting with his strongest formation and line-ups I don't think he is sure what his strongest starting 11 is yet. With the takeover and the new manager until there is a definite transfer I am choosing to ignore rumors some of them are just getting predictable and ridiculous. He has 5/6 strikers if you include gallagher/n'guesson he needs to find a partnership which suits the style of football he wants to play.
Ric Flair Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he is off, then this is the best thing Sousa has done since winning the Champions League in the 90's.
Finnegan Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 As much as he's been better, and I admit that, he still isn't irreplacable. He might be flavour of the month but if we could get even half what we paid back i'd still bite olly's hand off.
LCFCkid Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Doubt he'd be goin he might of picked up a slight knock or he was just Resting him. There was quite alot of rumors fryatt was goin after he wasn't in the squad on Saturday.
Jimmy Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 he didn't start in the 1st round either so him not being involved may of just been because it was the league cup
Collymore Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If he is off, then this is the best thing Sousa has done since winning the Champions League in the 90's. I'd like to give him a chance Ric, I've got a potential £1000 winning on his golden boot.
Finnegan Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I'd like to give him a chance Ric, I've got a potential £1000 winning on his golden boot. Sorry Colly... Why?!
Tommy G Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Could be resting him. Why do people jump on the ''he's not in the squad so must be leaving the club'' bollocks. Surprised some people have any nails left the amounts of worry they put themselves through. here's to the 65th thread on DJ Fooking Campbell, cheers
Ric Flair Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 I'd like to give him a chance Ric, I've got a potential £1000 winning on his golden boot. As much as i'd love you to win a bag of sand pal, there's absolutely no chance of a Leicester player scoring 25+ league goals this season and certainly not DJ Campbell. Sell and hopefully re-invest on a gamble that pays off.

I wouldn't expect any player not in the squad to be leaving however in this case there is genuine reason for the question, especially with Holloway saying yesterday he still wants him along with Tudgay....

sdb Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 i'd be disappointed if we don't get 1.5mill for him (if he is leaving). if a prem club wants one of our players, they should have to pay the right price for what they see as a prem standard player.

sdb Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 i'm not a huge fan but Blackpool wouldn't have gone up without him. His asking price should recognise that.
leftsideoverhere Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 With all the outrage around about Ollie missing Blackpool's game last night to "watch a transfer target" I'd love it if it turned out he'd gone to Leeds to watch Campbell only to find he wasn't in the squad.
stix Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Im sorry but if Marcus Tudgay and DJ Campbell are Holloways premier league survival strategy then the cvnt needs shooting!!! And if i were a pool fan id be screwing!! Then again....Brett Pitman rejected premier league football with blackpool....those two are probably the best they are likely to get. There kit is insipid!!!
hackneyfox Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 If we could get 1 million for him I'd be very happy. Whichever of the rumoured salaries he's on it is far more than I'd pay him. He apparently looked good against Sunderland but to me he quite clearly doesn't want to be here and I think he'll get worse as the season passes and then clear off at the end of the season.
Southern Fox Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Said on talksport this morning that Holloway was at the S****horpe game
Simo86 Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Said on talksport this morning that Holloway was at the S****horpe game He would have been watching Tudgay then
hackneyfox Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Blackpool have said that is where he was, but Holloway has allegedly said that he wants to pair the 2 of them up.
ian_marshall Posted 25 August 2010 Posted 25 August 2010 Skysports.com Clockwatch and Radio 1 News are both reporting that Holloway was indeed at S****horpe last night, with the former claiming he was watching Tudgay.
